20 Years of Experience

The Bas-du-Fort Marina is a key player in the economic and social life of Guadeloupe.

Built in 1977 to host the 1st edition of the mythical Route du Rhum, it is the most
former marina of Guadeloupe, but also the most important in the Caribbean today.

Located in the Petit Cul de Sac Marin in the heart of the islands, in an area shared between the city of Pointe-à-Pitre and that of Le Gosier, the marina of Bas-du-Fort, under concession since 2006 by the Port Autonomous of Guadeloupe, constitutes an important center of economic activities, but also a meeting place between Guadeloupeans and the rest of the world.

The Fleet

The Bas-du-Fort Marina welcomes all types of yachting (sailboats of all sizes, yachts, simple motorboats, etc.) for short or long stays. Like the Florence Arthaud quay of honor, which can accommodate large units and yachts (up to 50 m long and 4.50 m draft).

The marina accommodates both base boats and a large fleet of rental boats.

It has more than 1,200 berths on pontoons, spread over 23 closed and secure quays and 50 buoy moorings spread over 3 basins. Each boat has personalized assistance for docking.

The Bas-du-Fort Marina provides boaters with6000 m2 of professional technical area, a launching, as well as a 35-ton Travel-lift allowing the boats to be put ashore for maintenance work, fairing, etc.

  • A multi-service barge, named MIKE BIRCH;

  • The new boat lift;

  • A launching slipway

  • A hydraulic lifting trailer

  • Free charging stations for electric vehicles.

The docks are equipped with drinking water, electricity, and Wi-Fi access.

In accordance with ISPS standards, the Bas-du-Fort Marina is entirely under video surveillance.

Home is done at the Harbor Master's Office which allows administrative and customs procedures to be carried out (entry into the territory, registration of the boat, etc.). You will find at reception, the shop which offers different items bearing the image of the Bas-du-Fort Marina.

A port agent (marine service link to be inserted) is available to boaters in order to
ensure the proper management and security of the site.

A concierge service (insert the Concierge service link) makes sure to respond 24 hours a day to the various
requests made by boat owners (laundry, airport transfer,
birthday, etc).

The entire Marina team works with two leitmotifs: comfort and quality of service from
users.

It is in this context that since 2006, numerous investment works have been carried out
(such as the construction of the refueling station in 2006, the rehabilitation of
sanitary blocks and the renovation of the harbor master's office in 2010, the installation of a wifi system in
2012, etc...) and continues to be so. For 2023, projects are underway to
redevelopment of the quays, the refueling station, expansion of the Darse,
renovation of Lagoon equipment, replacement of the boat lift.
